TDK's CLF-NI-D series of rugged power inductors are used in automotive electronics, with high efficiency and reliability over an extremely wide temperature range of -55C to + 150C, and provide rated inductance values from 1μH to 470μH (E6 Series ).
The CLF7045NI-D size is only 7.4mm x 7.0mm x 4.5mm, and it can provide a rated current of 0.41A to 8.5A and a DC resistance value of 9mohm to 1.2ohm. These components meet the requirements of AEC-Q200.
Thanks to TDK's advanced material technology, the device has excellent heat resistance. The new joining process of the terminal can realize a solderless structure design and has improved mechanical strength. The fully automated manufacturing process ensures high reliability and quality. As a result, the new power inductors are well-suited for applications in demanding automotive environments, such as power supply circuits for engine control modules (ECM) and ECUs for airbags, ABS, and headlights.
The new CLF7045NI-D type with a 7mm form factor complements the recently introduced 6mm square CLF6045NI-D type. The company said that TDK has plans to further expand the CLF-NI-D series with 5mm, 10mm, and 12.5mm squares, respectively, to provide a wide range of power inductor products for a wide range of applications.
