Pepperl+Fuchs' new M18 series of cylindrical photoelectric sensors is designed for a wide range of standard applications. The series has three housing designs, all provide five detection modes, and are equipped with a unified electrical interface, each with its own functional characteristics and flexible application. Sensors with different shell designs, lengths and sensing modes adopt a unified adjustment method, which allows users to install and debug quickly and easily, improving use efficiency

The design of the M18 series cylindrical photoelectric sensor has strong functionality and can be flexibly selected according to application requirements. The product can choose to use connector or fixed cable outlet, including two shell designs of side light output or axial light output. Additionally, users can choose from 40mm to 60mm case sizes. The robust metal housing of the M18 sensor is particularly suitable for harsh applications as metal threads increase the stability of the mechanical installation. The tightening torque is higher compared to sensors with plastic threaded housings.

In order to save installation space, Pepperl+Fuchs offers a side-lit housing design with a shortened length of 40mm for easy integration into roller conveyor applications; even in corners with limited installation, side-lit products can be used from the bottom up test. The sensor electrical interface and LED indicators on the rear are always clearly visible. The M18 sensor family combines various sensing modes and designs for a wide variety of standard applications.
