The Si9712 combines low on-resistance, slow ramp time, and the overall best performance of a smart switch in an integrated PC card interface switch that operates on a 5-V power supply and has a built-in level switching gate drive. Internal logic prevents external control input errors that will be short from 5v to 3.3V power.

This protection logic also allows the Si9712 to be configured with positive or negative control logic to be compatible with a variety of PC card controllers. These control inputs are CMOS logic compatible and can be driven up to 3.3V or 5V. The Si9712 complies with PC card release standards by providing 0 V, 12 V and VCC to Vpp outputs and 0 V, 3.3V and 5 V to VCC outputs.
VCC ramp time is user programmable for external capacitors connected to SR pins. The PC card switch is packaged in a narrow-body SO-16 package and is rated in the industrial temperature range of -40-85C. Si9712 is available in standard and lead-free (Pb) packages.
