Powell Electronics offers the HYPB series of new IP69/IP69K stainless steel button housing for Hammond Manufacturing hygiene applications. Ideal for applications where maintaining hygienic standards and avoiding contamination is very important, such as food processing and pharmaceutical manufacturing, the range of enclosures has been developed for use with sanitary buttons and withstands average high temperatures and regular high pressure washing.
They also have no areas, such as slotted screw heads, quarter-swivel latches or welded mounting brackets, where contaminants may accumulate and all sides are tilted to ensure any water is quickly drained.
Available with 22.5mm and 30.5mm holes, single row of one, two, three or four holes for installation, two rows of four holes for two rows of two holes for two or two rows of six holes for two rows of three holes for installation, the series benefits from a rectangular design that allows the unit surface to be mounted vertically or horizontally to suit most applications. The bonnet is secured to the body with a seamless hexagon bolt fitted with a silicone gasket to eliminate potential dirt collector.
The blue "sanitary" colored silicone gasket makes any contaminants more obvious and is installed on the edge of the door so there are no gaps where dust can be collected.
