Maxim's MAXM17516 is a high-efficiency step-down fixed-frequency power module that operates from an input supply voltage of 2.4V to 5.5V and supports output currents up to 6A. Combined in a thermally efficient package is a switch-mode power controller, a dual n-channel MOSFET power switch, a fully shielded inductor, and compensation components. The device supports programmable output voltages from 0.75V to 1.8V. High integration greatly reduces design complexity. It also reduces manufacturing risks, provides a true plug-and-play power solution, and is designed to reduce time to market. Applications include ATE, base station PoL regulators, FPGA and DSP PoL regulators, industrial control, medical equipment and servers.
