Ames Osram (AMS) and Musco (Musco), the world's leading provider of optical solutions, announced that Armin-Wolf-Arena, the baseball stadium in Regensburg, Germany, has adopted Masco lighting systems in collaboration with Ames Osram OSCONIQ® LED, Create a new lighting experience of the world's top sporting events.
Musco is the world's leading supplier of sports lighting systems, and many of the world's iconic professional stadiums are equipped with its TLC for LED technology. Masco decided to use the OSCONIQ® P 3737 LED in its LED system after a thorough evaluation of its performance in demanding high-pole lighting applications. The stadium's new flood lighting uses the Total Light Control® -- TLC for LED system provided by Musco Lighting, equipped with AMS's OSCONIQ® P 3737 LED to provide a 5700K light source for TLC for LED. Armin-Wolf-Arena has been selected to host the 2023 World Baseball Classic qualifier and needs to upgrade its field lighting system to meet lighting standards set by Major League Baseball.
Musco Lighting says the floodlight gives the stadium a new look, increasing illumination levels by 85 percent and reducing power consumption by 13 percent compared to the previous lighting system. The new lighting system achieves great consistency and uniformity throughout the stadium, while reducing glare and greatly reducing the amount of light that spills over the stadium boundaries. The new system meets MLB's lighting requirements for the infield and outfield, enabling Armin-Wolf-Arena to host the highest level of world baseball games, including this year's World Baseball Classic qualifiers.
