Honeywell's SNG-Q quadrature speed and direction sensor. The device's 4-wire quadrature sensing provides speed and direction information.
Speed information is provided by the digital square wave output. Directions are provided using quadrature outputs, and signals are phase shifted 90 degrees from each other. For quadrature outputs, the target direction is determined by the output lead / lag phase shift.
SNG-Q is designed for a wide operating temperature range (-40C to 150C), strong resistance to electrical noise and industry-leading environmental sealing capabilities. The SNG-Q sensor includes an O-ring seal for pressure applications and a fixed mounting flange that can be easily installed using a fastener. SNG-Q is designed for applications that require enhanced accuracy to detect small target features. The device's accuracy is achieved through dual differential Hall effect sensor IC technology.
