     The Allegro MicroSystems A89506 full-bridge PWM gate driver is optimized for PWM control of DC motors. The device is capable of operating at 50V and can provide gate drive for all n-channel external MOSFET bridges. The gate driver is available in a low profile 20-contact QFN package (suffix 'ES') and a 20-pin eTSSOP (suffix 'LP') package. Both package variants offer an exposed pad for enhanced thermal performance.

     The device includes input terminals for controlling the speed and direction of the DC motor using an externally applied PWM control signal. The internal synchronous rectification control circuit reduces power consumption through PWM operation. The device provides internal circuit protection including VDS protection, thermal shutdown with hysteresis, under-voltage monitoring (VBB) of the load supply voltage, and cross-current protection.

     AEC-Q100 qualified devices are effective replacements for relays and closure systems and can also be used to drive DC motors and actuators in conventional, hybrid and electric vehicles. The device is ideal for door and window actuators, electric vehicle charger locks, electronic parking brakes and folding mirrors.
