Mouser currently uses a vemi 256A-SD2 two-channel EMI filter supplied by Vishay Intertechnology. The device helps suppress both EMI and RFI protection paths and is designed as a two-channel filter array. It also provides powerful system-level ESD protection for interface line filtering.

The device is a highly integrated two-channel filter that provides low leakage current for ESD protection and enables the designer to filter and clamp two different signals or data lines to the device's ground, with an ultra-compact chip-level package ideal for space-constrained applications. The device has been tested in accordance with IEC 61000-4-2 and meets the REQUIREMENTS of ESD immunity. The rating of contact and air discharge is ±25kV. The clamp voltage is rated at ±30kV to help prevent damage to the protected device when it is subjected to AN ESD pulse. The filter also provides a 60MHz (typical value) cut-off frequency, 60 ohms (typical value) line resistance and 40C to +150C operating temperature.

The filter meets UL 94 flammability standards and is classified as class 1 according to j-STD-020 humidity sensitivity rating. The filter is also packaged in 0.45mg CLP1007-5M to prevent short circuiting while providing optimal distance and minimum tilt and rotation for space-sensitive equipment.

The device is suitable for a variety of mobile and wired communication devices, including portable electronics, display interfaces, keyboards and high-speed I/O data ports. And the smartphones and tablets that we all use.
