The LT3023 is a dual, micro-power, low noise, low drop regulator. 10-lead MSOP and DFN packages available for thermal enhancement. The output noise is reduced to 20μVRMS in the bandwidth of 10Hz to 100kHz by using an external 0.01μF bypass capacitor. Designed for use in battery powered systems, low 20μA static current per channel makes it an ideal choice.
Pin arrangement
When shut down, the static current drops below 0.1μA. Shutdown controls are independent of each channel, allowing flexibility in power management. The device is capable of operating in the 1.8V-20V input voltage range and can deliver 100mA output current from each channel with a voltage drop of 300mV. Static current is well controlled when the line is dropped.
The LT3023 regulator is stable at output capacitance as low as 1μF. Small ceramic capacitors can be used without the series resistance required by other regulators. The internal protection circuit includes battery reverse protection, current limiting, heat limiting and reverse current protection. The device is adjustable with a reference voltage of 1.22V.
