Analog Devices Introduces an Electrometer-Level Operational Amplifier That Enables Chemical Analysis Instruments to Achieve the Highest Accuracy and Data Repeatability in a Compact Solution Over a Wider Temperature Range, Reducing Overall BOM and Design size.
The ADA4530-1 op amp achieves this goal by having an input bias current at least 20 times lower than competing devices. This low bias current makes the ADA4530-1 ideal for connecting sensors that are sensitive to output loads, such as photodiodes and other high-output impedance sensors often used in precision monitoring / analysis equipment, such as spectrophotometers, chromatographs, and Mass spectrometers, as well as potentiostatic and potentiostatic Coulomb measurement equipment.
This new amplifier can also be used as a front-end amplifier for picoammeters and coulomb meter instrument systems, as a transimpedance amplifier for photodiode, ion chamber and working electrode measurements, or as a high impedance buffer for chemical and capacitive sensors.
