TDK has added a new three-phase AC input model to the TDK-Lambda DRB series of cost-effective DIN rail mounting power supplies. Rated for continuous operation at 120W and 240W, with 12V, 24V and 48V outputs, these units produce peaks of 144W and 288W in two seconds. This and constant current - load characteristics allow operation under capacitive and inductive loads. These supplies also provide low energy surge current at initial start-up, thus reducing false tripping of input circuit breakers.

The DRB three-phase series is widely used in traditional switchgear, decentralized mechanical and industrial systems through information and communication technology

Accepting a wide range of inputs from 350 to 575VAC, the unit is housed in a rugged metal case that measures only 55mm W x 129mm H x 138.2mm D, saving space on the DIN track for other components. Up to 94% high operating efficiency and low offload power consumption, reduced to 2.3W in standby mode using remote switch, reducing power consumption. Lower power loss, reduced internal heating and increased life of electrolytic capacitors.

All models have a wide adjustment range of 11.4V to 15V (12V model), 22.5V to 29V (24V model) and 45V to 56V (48V model) to achieve cable voltage drop compensation, ORing FET or set to non-standard output voltage. In addition to the LED indicator light, a DC OK relay contact is provided for remote monitoring and can be closed by the relay contact or < 4V input for remote on/off. For higher power or redundant systems, front panel DIP switches allow droop mode current sharing for parallel operation.

Input to output isolation is 3,510VAC, ground input 2210VAC, and ground output 1390 VAC. The model uses convection cooling and is rated to operate at ambient temperatures of -25 ° C to +70 ° C, derating above 55 ° C.

The series also complies with EN 61000-3-2 (Class A) harmonic current and IEC/EN 61000-6-2 immunity standards. The product is certified by IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1, 61010-1, 61010-2-201 and by CE/UKCA low voltage, EMC and RoHS directives. They comply with EN 55011-B and CISPR11-B radiation and conduction emissions.
