STMicroelectronics' TN series of high temperature thyristors (SCRs) provide high temperature performance of 16A or 20A rms. The TN series immunity, gate trigger current and on-current rise allow the design of robust and compact control circuits.
TN series SCRs are commonly used in regulators for motorcycles and industrial drives, overvoltage crowbar protection, motor control circuits in power tools and kitchen appliances, and inrush current limiting circuits. The company said the insulated full-package packaging allows for back-to-back configurations.
