Integrated control lamps can be configured to operate as part of a separate cluster that is not connected to a central panel or building control system. In this configuration, the local controller commands the dimming level based on the occupancy of sensors embedded in the luminaries and daylight input. This type of implementation reduces cabling and may eliminate the need for a central controller, while also providing the individual-level control required to comply with increasingly stringent energy regulations.
