During the 2023 China International Medical Device Fair, Intel held a forum with the theme of "AI Edge computing Enabling Medical imaging to help grassroots medical innovation and upgrading". At the forum, professionals from Intel, industry associations and leading enterprises in the medical field had an in-depth discussion on how to help grassroots medical informatization construction through the integration of medical AI and cloud edge, and improve the efficiency of medical services and medical staff work experience and other important issues.

         

Currently, health data accounts for 30% of the world's total data volume. How to effectively manage and utilize large amounts of unstructured health data has become a huge challenge. Take the medical image scene as an example -- the rapid progress of medical image technology makes more and more clinical diagnosis have "evidence" to rely on. Thanks to the overall acceleration advantages brought by the mutual collocation and collaborative optimization of these hardware and software, the reasoning speed of Dr. Turing AI platform in image analysis scenarios such as COVID-19 screening and breast cancer detection has been significantly improved. At the same time, with the support of the optimized Radcloud big data intelligent analysis cloud platform, the processing efficiency of the radiomics analysis scheme has also been significantly accelerated.

Combined with the application of 5G and other innovative technologies, through the combination of online and offline, the solution has been successfully used to help the sinking of high-quality medical resources and improve the popularity of high-quality medical resources, comprehensively improving the ability of grassroots medical services and security, as well as patients' medical experience. For example, by deploying AI bone mineral density computing capability to primary medical institutions in the form of image cloud platform and bone mineral density all-in-one machine, patients can enjoy automatic bone mineral density measurement, vertebral body analysis, intervertebral analysis and physical analysis with only one CT scan, without additional examination and body model assistance. This product can help people, including those living in primary care areas, get tested for osteoporosis more scientifically, more accurately, and more easily, while avoiding the risks associated with the high incidence, disability and mortality of osteoporosis.
