Harwin is supporting its Datamate wire-to-board connector with a series of sturdy aluminum structures and electroless nickel-plated back covers. HAR003_Datamate_Backshells_LRES has a backshell with enhanced mechanical strength and provides EMI / RFI protection. The female cable version includes an accessory feature for braided shielding. There is an oval-shaped entry hole for the braid, and slotted or hexagonal jack screws on both sides for fixing the connection (and reducing stress). The male backshell is designed for panel mounting applications and is compatible with cable or vertical PCB connector styles. Once the male and female mating process is complete, complete 360-degree EMI / RFI shielding is provided. Supported operating temperature range is -55 ° C to + 125 ° C. The new back cover can be used with the company's J-Tek and its Mix-Tek Datamate connector product line-both signal, power and coaxial cables can be accommodated.
